Lyndon and Natalie - Blue Lagoon Hotel Posted on: 18 may 2012, Wedding date ; 24 march 2012
Natalie and Lyndon were married at Quigney Baptist and held their reception at Blue Lagoon Hotel. Lyndon and Kevin used to work together a few years back. The couple were keen to have a contrasty setting for the photos, so we headed off to some railway tracks. The rain from the night before created some stunning additions the the already great setting. We finished off with a few shots at the beach and in the end, we were very excited to present the couple with some awesome photos. See more photos here... Mazithi and Sithembele - Border Conference Centre Posted on: 18 may 2012, Wedding date ; 23 march 2012
It was an early start for us considering it was an afternoon wedding, Mazithi the bride started getting ready at about 9am. We cant remember seeing a groom who was as excited as Sithembele was, he was dancing, singing and parading the entire day. Following a huge ceremony at Border COnference Centre, the couple decided they wanted their main photos to be taken at a park. After the photos we headed back the the venue to cover the 500 guest reception. You can see in the photos how impressive the seating looked before the reception began. See more photos here...
Shevaun and Nicholas - Inkwenkwezi Posted on: 25 march 2012, Wedding date ; 17 march 2012
Shevaun and Nicholas were married at Inkwenkwezi, our third time at this beautiful location in one month. Shevaun was running, uh, a little late and there was no key for the venue where she was to get dressed, so what to do? Get ready in the open! What was at the time a stressfull moment, turned out to be a laughing matter later in the day. Their baby son joined in for the photo session where dramatic clouds added to an already stunning location for photos. The famous elephants came out for one or two pics too! The venue looked stunning with the purple and green tone in the decor. See more photos here... Nadine and Eugene - 2 Swans Posted on: 25 april 2012, Wedding date ; 10 march 2012
We met Nadine when we photographed her brother's wedding a few years back - when we still had film cameras, so it was an honour to be asked to do another wedding in their family. The couple's gorgeous little daughter was also all dressed up for the occasion, she too had a special day as she was christened soon after the wedding ceremony. We had a great time and lots of laughs on the beach with the photos. The reception too was full of fun and emotion. We also filmed the couple's wedding and you can see the highlights clip here, we love the part where Eugene can't keep back the tears when he sees Nadine coming down the isle. See more photos here... Kirstin and Adrian - Cypress Dale Posted on: 23 april 2012, Wedding date ; 3 march 2012
At Kirstin and Adrian's wedding we did both photographs and video (see highlights clip here...). Besides a bit of wind, it was a beautiful day and we had the chance to capture the best light of the day in the grassy fields of Cypress Dale. The couples young son was part of the happy day and looked so cute in his tiny little suit. We took part of the photos at the beach and part at the reception venue. Speeches were very emotional and even after so many years of wedding photography we never get tired of hearing well prepared and heartfelt speeches. The couple effortlessly filled each shot with emotion and love, such an honour to be part of their day. See more photos here... Charné and Greg - Inkwenkwezi Posted on: 23 april 2012, Wedding date ; 25 february 2012
The day after photographing a wedding at Inkwenkwezi, we were back for Charné and Greg's wedding. It just reminded us again, how each and every wedding is so different, even if they are a day apart at the same venue. The couple made us feel like we were part of the family and were keen for any suggestions we made. Fortunately, the spring tide didnt stop us on this day and we got stunning pics at both the beach and in the african bushveld. See more photos here...
Rosheen and Nathan - Inkwenkwezi Posted on: 23 april 2012, Wedding date ; 24 february 2012
A Friday wedding at the famous Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve. Despite a few last minute nail-biting moments, the couple had a gorgeous day with stunning weather. We loved the stylish decor comprising of silver and white tones in this very african setting. We headed off to the beach for some shots only to discover that there was no beach, a spring tide was at its highest point and there was no beach in sight! But no concern in the end as the venue is an amazing place to take photos. See more photos here... Harriet and Michael couple photoshoot
Harriet is not a stranger to us personally, and when she phoned us and asked if we could schedule a photo session to celebrate their anniversary, we were very excited. Michael has his own yacht and all agreed that using the yacht would be perfect. The weather could not have been better, the location had so many great photo opportunities that the session went on for much longer than orginally planned. Paula and the couple climbed into a small rowing boat to reach their yacht and it was a whole lot of fun watching as the photo shoot proceeded. Thanks to a combination of the setting, a beautiful couple and perfect weather, we are very proud of the result. See more photos here...
Kirsten and Kyle - Cypress Dale Posted on: 12 march 2012, Wedding date ; 21 January 2012
Kristin and Kyle were married at Stirling Baptist Church followed by their reception out at Cypress Dale. It was a beautiful warm day, so we did the majority of the photos on on of our ever-picturesque Eastern Cape beaches. We also stopped off in the grass at Cypress Dale to finish off the photo shoot. The colours on the day were youthfull and charming with a genrous dash of elegance. We appreciate that the couple alowed us to use the time we did to capture some images we are sure they are going to love. See more photos here... Louise and Riaan - Two Swans Posted on: 12 march 2012, Wedding date ; 14 january 2012
Despite the large amounts of rain we have had, our weddings have mostly been blessed with lovely weather, for Louise and Riaan this was one of those blessed days. Vibrant colours were used in their day, from the hot pink ties on the gents, to the amazing bouquets and table decor. The cake was an inspiration, such creativity and attention to detail, wow. We loved the chocolate box that contained two round chocolates on sticks made to look like a bride and groom in the simplest and cutest way. After the ceremony we headed down to our favourite nearby beach for the photos. After we had finished getting wet and ful of sand, we finished off with few shots around Two Swans. See more photos here... Judith and Garth - Cypress Dale Posted on: 8 march 2012, Wedding date ; 7 january 2012
Judith and Garth were married at St Michaels and All Angels in East London followed by their reception out at Cypress Dale. After the ceremony we went to the beach for some photos before heading off to the reception venue. We stopped off in the long grass at Cypress Dale for some amazing photos in the setting sun light. The couple had a sleek limo for their ride and we made sure we included it in some photos for a bit of added bling. When it came time for the first dance, the couple had everyone cheering to their well practiced routine. See more photos here... Kelly-Jane and Jens - Cypress Dale Posted on: 9 January 2012, Wedding date ; 16 december 2011
Along with the photos, we did our second wedding DVD production for Kelly-Jane and Jens. We knew much of Jens' family from weddings we took photos at years ago. Kelly-Jane got ready at the famous Fourteenth Green Guest House next to the EL Golf Course. The ceremony was held on the lawn at Cypress Dale, and although it was a bit gusty, it was a beautiful sunny day. We took the bridal party down to the beach for most of the photos, following this we did a few of the couple in the fields around Cypress Dale just as the sun was at its best. Its always enjoyable to be at a wedding where you meet up with a bunch of old friends. Kelly-Jane and Jens currently live in the UK, guys, it was wonderful to be part of your special day! Yvonne and Tony - 2 Swans Posted on: 8 January 2012, Wedding date ; 10 december 2011
Just like we learned about people from Suriname a while back, at this wedding we got to experience the Ghanaian culture. Along with a firm faith in God, we could clearly see how closely knit these families were. Seeing the support, love and pride they had from their family was inspirational. The way the children spoke about their parents in the speeches was with the greatest of honour and respect. It was even said by someone that there is tremendous pressure to be successfull in their culture too, there were doctors, lawyers and engineers at every table. Guests were welcomed to the ceremony with the sound of a marimba band, adding more central african flavour to the day. Many guests were dressed in traditional african garments, and I dont think there was a single person, young or old who did not have a camera that was flashing away non stop on the day. We had a hard time choosing only a few photos to post, so be prepared to see a whole bunch. See more photos here...
Katherine and Neil - 2 Swans Posted on: 7 January 2012, Wedding date ; 3 december 2011
Katherine got ready with her bridesmaids at her parents home in East London, their home is set in a stunning garden - a masterpiece to behold. We left their home and headed off to 2 Swans Wedding Venue a short way out of town. Their ceremony was held in the quaint chapel at the venue followed by drinks and snacks for the guests while we took the photos. The reception venue was done up in elegant silver and white tones. See more photos here... Siya and Nathi - Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve Posted on: 5 FEBRUARY 2012, wedding date: 2 december 2011
Siya and Nathi held their ceremony and reception at the famous Inkwenkwezi Reserve. We took some photos at the venue as well as some down at a nearby beach. The elephants were brought out to pose with the couple during this time too. It was great fun to be part of this true african wedding. See more photos here...
Samantha and Andrew - Crawford's Beach Lodge Posted on: 19 January 2012, Wedding date ; 26 November 2011
Samantha and Andrew held their wedding out on the East Coast on a spectacular day. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn in perfect weather, following this, we took the bridal party down some stairs to the beach for the majority of the photos. Andrew is a Ship Captain and wore his attire for their special day. I particularly like the image where Samantha is peeking out of her room window to see if it was her time to make her entrance down the aisle.. See more photos here...
Vuyo and Leslie - Inkwenkwezi Posted on: 18 January 2012, Wedding date ; 12 november 2011
Vuyo and Leslie held their western style wedding at Inwenkwezi Private Game Reserve. The weather turned on us at just the wrong time, but the couple braved the rain to get some beautiful photos. The shleter of a giant Wild Fig tree help to minimise the effect of the rain, and when we had a small gap, we headed out into the open to take advantage of the beautiful african scenery of Inkwenkwezi. The couple had the cheering support of the guests from even before Vuyo arrived at the ceremony right up until the opening dance, The evening was wrapped up with fine food, crazy dancing and clear skies. Victoria and Alistair - Gulu Resort Posted on: 16 January 2012, Wedding date ; 22 October
If this is not your first visit to our site then you may remember the pre-wedding photo shoot we did with Victoria and Alistair. Being a creative individual, Victoria added fantastic personal touches to her special day. It was a morning wedding and as such, was very relaxed and informal. Fun and colour was threaded through everything on the day, from the collection of glass bottles and the coloured popcorn confetti, to the flowers, ladders and picture frames. Live musicians completed the vibe at the buffet breakfast in between some very entertaining speeches. Well done to the couple for the amazing attention to detail and work that was very evident and such a pleasure to be a part of! See more photos here...
Sally and Craig - Blue Lagoon Hotel Posted on: 4 January 2012, Wedding date: 4 november 2011
We did a photoshoot with Sally and Craig a few months ago and we were excited to be part of their wedding day. In contrast to their engagement photos, we used a more natural setting, making sure we used the sunlight to add a different touch to their wedding photos. With very little guidance needed, the couple looked so natural in the shots - just how we like it! See more photos here... Diana and Mark - EL Golf Club Posted on: 4 January 2012, Wedding date: 29 october 2011
Diana and Mark came to us for a newborn photoshoot of their daughter Nika. We were excited when they contacted us to do their wedding photos a few months later! The weather was perfect on their day and we took full advantage of it. We took the bridal party to the beach for the majority of the photos, the couple graciously listened to our sugestions and the resul was stunning. Their daughter was dedicated on the same day which made it even more special - even a pink cake of her very own next to the wedding cake. See more photos here... |
